Tópicos del Seminario is a mainly monographic publication focused on meaning and signification. Therefore, each volume is devoted to a current topic related to semiotics. Thus, language sciences, semantics, discourse theory and analysis, literary theory, art theory and philosophy of language, among others, have a place in this publication. The central objective of the journal is to promote, develop and disseminate contemporary debates on the problematic of the different discourses, verbal and non-verbal, that are manifested in the diversity of texts and practices that make up a culture.

Vol. 1 No. 55 (2026): Scope and confrontations of the Semiotics of culture
The articles in this issue focus on the development and scope of cultural semiotics, particularly based on the work of Yuri Lotman, whose influence in the Spanish-speaking world was delayed but decisive thanks to translations and specialized research. The works gathered here examine power as an organization of semiotic space, the interaction between semiospheres, and the function of catalytic texts capable of transforming established meanings. Taken together, they show how Lotmanian theory is updated through dialogue with digital practices, philosophical debates, and new cultural forms, shaping an open and critical model.
